Castles of Scotland Preservation Trust

http://www.cospt.org.uk

The Trust was established to promote and encourage the protection and preservation of Scotland’s rich architectural heritage and to restore or conserve where possible. Although the Trust operates as a company, it is a charitable organisation registered in Scotland whose directors and secretary give freely of their time and expertise in the running of the Trust. Liberton Tower is the Trust’s first completed project. It has received great acclaim from many sources including the coveted Europa Nostra Award.

The Trust is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. The Directors, our Trustees and the Secretary provide their services to the trust on a voluntary basis and receive no monetary reward, other than the knowledge that our heritage is being preserved for future generations.

It has been found that by having a small but agile and capable body of individuals a lot more can be achieved by keeping red tape to a minimum and concentrating on the projects at hand.
