Leisure
Liberton Tower has the advantage of being very close to the centre of Edinburgh, the historic Capital of Scotland. As with all cities, Edinburgh has much to offer in pastime and leisure activities.
The new Museum of Scotland, regaling stories of Scotland’s colourful past, is certainly worth a visit, as is the Royal Yacht Britannia and the domed structure of Dynamic Earth, where visitors can experience a close encounter with the veritable forces of nature. Just across the Forth Bridge is Culross, one Scotland’s most picturesque settlements, with its whitewashed and yellow ochrewashed and red-tiled buildings. The many attractions include the NT Visitor Centre, Culross Palace and the remains of Culross Abbey. The Perthshire Highlands, Borders and Fife, offering good walking opportunities and numerous golf courses, are within driving distance. Many pubs and restaurants close by.
Some of these attractions are listed below:
Edinburgh Castle
Art Galleries, a huge selection to visit.
Edinburgh Festival including fringe
Edinburgh New Year Street party (one of the biggest in the world)
St Andrews and its famous golf course
Edinburgh Military Tattoo
